Pizza heaven, quite literally, can be found at the Museum of Pizza, currently located at The William Vale hotel in Williamsburg. Here’s a look at our experience when we went to take a bite out of this latest NYC pop-up…
Art meets pizza in an ode to the food we all know and love. Upon entering, you immediately come across the Psychedelic Pizza Parlor, a group show featuring over 20 artists and their decorated pizza boxes and pizza-esque sculptures. It sets the tone for other pizza-inspired rooms to come!
There’s the “black light pizza universe,” perfect for getting that shot for your Instagram, throwing some boxes around, and dancing for a Boomerang.
The mozzarella room is, well, a room with mozzarella-like sculptures surrounding you as you wander towards more immersive pizza experiences.
The museum is very interactive with tactile objects everywhere and plenty of photo-op backdrops, and you can take your time or move through pretty quickly.
We stopped off to experience the pizza vortex, a film that surrounds you using mirrors and music, then took a trip to pizza heaven and ended up at the pizzeria that greets you at the end of your journey, offering a range of slices (included in your ticket price). Enjoy your cheesy slice from Williamsburg Pizza in a traditional-style restaurant that celebrates pizza and ranch, and make sure to take some ‘dough portraits’ in the photo booth!
You don’t want to miss this delicious event! Tickets can be purchased on the Museum of Pizza website for $35. This limited experience will come to an end on November 18th, 2018.
