This month we’re getting to know Kayla Pitsilos, leader of The Pitsilos Team at Citi Habitats. Based out of our Park Avenue South Office, Kayla and her team members are known for their dedication to customer service, and extensive knowledge of the city’s real estate. We had the opportunity to get to know Kayla and learn what she’s working on…
What is the coolest thing you are working on?
The Buchanan, it is a 1920’s pre-war gem that is undergoing a full gut renovation from the inside out. The history of the building is amazing, as are the existing tenants, who have so much insight into the “older New York.” Watching the transformation of this building has taught me a lot.
Who inspires you?
The team that works with me. Every day I see them give their all to their own business – it is so inspiring to watch them grow and pave their ways through such a tough industry. Without them, I would not be where I am today.
What is your secret talent no one knows about?
Baking delicious cakes and cupcakes.
If you could be any animal, which would you be?
Most likely a lion, however, I love butterflies and what they represent, the transformation they go though, and how freely they move.
What 3 traits define you?
Responsible, kind, understanding.
What advice do you have for new agents in the business?
Think outside the box (especially since real estate has changed so much over the last few years). Consistency is key, and don’t be scared to go after what you want. Also, know what you’re talking about—know your market inside and out.
